Alexander & Schmidt, a loss control service company, is seeking experienced part time independent loss control consultants throughout Ohio to conduct commercial insurance loss control surveys. Coverages involved are Property, Liability, Products, Fleet, and Workers' Compensation.
Work involves onsite assessment of commercial property risks including physical conditions, safety practices and hazardous situations. In addition, representatives prepare written reports of findings and generate recommendations for corrective action as needed.
Successful candidates will have a broad technical background, solid communication skills including exceptional writing ability, organizational skills, and computer skills. Professional certifications, CSP, ALCM and/or ARM are preferred, but not required.

Job Title: Regional EHS Manager

Position Summary
Acts as a consultant and advisor to the region, providing support and technical assistance in the administration of and compliance with federal, state, local, and company EHS requirements. Recommends, develops, and implements programs that maintain safe and healthful working conditions. Promotes protection against accidents, illnesses, and injuries and assists in the communication and implementation of EHS procedures.
Responsibilities
· Serves as the primary point of contact and resource for home facility environmental, health & safety issues
· Ensure the impact of regulatory changes on the businesses are being managed at the facility
· Participates in audits and inspections, assists in tracking corrective action plans and ensures completion
· Provides leadership, direction, and prioritization for EHS objectives
· Monitors facility performance against EHS goals and objectives
· Participate in the acquisition, relocation, modification, closure and decommissioning of any affected facility, equipment or process
· Ensure EHS risk analyses are performed and communicated
· Review implementation and sustainability of EHS programs
· Assists in career development of EHS Professionals
· Support home facility security issues and loss prevention
· Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
Job Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental safety, industrial hygiene specialty, or equivalent with five years of experience. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience. Advanced degree preferred. Maintain or obtain applicable EHS professional credentials. Solid interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficient in computer software applications. Experience in printing/binding or manufacturing related field.

Dugan & Meyers Construction Co. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to assist the Corporate Safety Director in our corporate headquarters, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Duties include: conducting regular safety inspections on construction projects, using computer software to document & distribute inspection results in a timely manner, conduct training in various safety topics such as fall protection, aerial lifts, rough-terrain forklifts, etc., observe employee and subcontractor work practices to ensure safe behavior that minimizes worker injury.
Assist with the supervision and enforcement of safety, health, and environmental activities, accident investigation, pre-planning project safety activities, developing weekly Safety & Drug-Free Workplace Toolbox Talks, maintaining master list of Material Safety Data Sheets for HazCom Program and oversight of company Safety & Attendance Incentive Award Program.
Thorough understanding of and the ability to interpret and enforce federal, state, local and corporate regulations, as well as the ability to recognize hazardous situations and behaviors, then implement corrective measures is critical. Outstanding interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills are required.
Should have completed or be willing to complete OSHA 30 hour training for the Construction Industry and become an authorized OSHA 10/30-hour Outreach Trainer. Candidates who possess the ability to learn quickly in a fast paced construction environment will excel in this position. Excellent skills in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes are essential.
